Tinks began far from the digital design world. What started as a single mother’s search for possibility became a life shaped by courage, change, and creativity. From bookkeeping on a cattle farm to helping build a game reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, life moved quickly and unpredictably. One quiet constant remained — a camera, capturing birds, trees and fleeting moments. Once tucked away, those images would later become the heart of something new.

With life slowing down and the children grown, space finally opened for creativity. No training. No Photoshop. Just a colourful personality, a playful spirit, and faith in experimentation. Years of photographs—from the African bush to the Cape Winelands—became the foundation for vibrant designs. Through curiosity, trial and error, simple images evolved into expressive artworks, later appearing on linens, velvets and wall art. Tinks became a living creative venture.

Today, Tinks offers a collection of original, downloadable print designs inspired by nature, travel, colour, texture, seasons, and everyday beauty. Each design begins with a real photograph — captured in a moment of wonder — and then evolves into a unique, expressive artwork ready to be used for fabrics, cushions, décor, furniture, apparel and more. Every piece is infused with authenticity, warmth, and a sense of joyful experimentation.
